    Celebrating our children:

This week, the following children have been recognised for showing a good understanding of the Ways of Being Co-op: Jayden, Roman, Layla, Logan, Mohammed, Alexis, George, Heidi, Donnie, Nicholas, Maya, Arush, Mikaela, Harry, Maham, Kimaya and Miguel.

    Musical Appreciation:

This week we looked at the most unusual instruments in the world, including hand-built creations. We also sang ‘One In A Million’ beautifully!

    Staffing update:

We would like our families to know that Miss Otu (Year 4 teacher and KS2 phase leader) and Mrs Reveley (Deputy Head and Sendco) will be leaving us at the end of the summer term. We wish them much happiness as they move onto new adventures and we will involve our children and families in their farewell events to be held in July. We will keep you all updated as new appointments are made.

    The King’s Coronation:

We will provide a Coronation Lunch for every pupil on Friday 5th May. We will refund any payments already made, and of course if your child wants to bring their own packed lunch in as usual, then that is fine.

Children should come to school in their usual uniform; no home clothes please.

Reading, seeing or studying a Shakespeare play for the first time can be daunting! This fun, engaging workshop, developed specifically for Key Stage 2, proves that Shakespeare really is for everyone! You don’t need to be posh to study Shakespeare. There are no special skills or training needed to be able to enjoy Shakespeare’s plays – but there are hints and tips that can help even the most reluctant young mind engage with his wonderful work.
