Welcome from Co-op Academy New Islington
Dear Parents and Carers,
This week children from our school, Mia and Kai, represented New Islington at the Co-op Young Musician of the Year competition and we are so proud of them for their performances. Performing to a crowd takes bravery and confidence and they both represented our school fantastically.
Our Reception children also took part in a workshop on Tuesday run by a company called Yellow Brick Road and were described as the best children they had ever seen! It is always lovely to hear such positive feedback from visitors.
Our Year 4 children have also been on a visit to the Pankhurst Museum linked to their history unit on the Suffragettes. Emmeline Pankhurst is one of our House Figureheads and a true role model for our children. We are sure they will have gained so much from learning more about her and her work.
Finally, we would also like to wish our Year 6 children luck as they go into next week to complete their SATs. We are so proud of the effort and progress every child has made this year.
As always, thank you for your continued support,
Mr Berry
