Dear Parents and Carers,

What an eventful week!

Firstly, I would like to thank all members of our community for your patience and understanding during the closure on Monday. Your kind words have been greatly appreciated.

It has been lovely to welcome our new intake of reception children to stay and play sessions and the walls are still shaking from the rock concert on Thursday! We are so lucky to have such talented children throughout our school.

We look forward to welcoming you all to our wide array of end of year events and we hope you enjoy the Summer Fair today!

Read to the Beat

This year, the libraries are once again launching a summer reading challenge. During the holidays, visit your local library and find out more about this challenge.

All the participants who have signed up will get a certificate at school next term.

Reading during the holidays is a great way to keep up their reading skills, ready for the new term.

Dates for your diary

Tuesday 7th July- Sports Day- Reception, Y1 and Y2 9.30-11.30. Yrs 3-6 1.15-3.15

Wednesday 8th July- Transition morning to meet new teacher (all years except Y6)

Thursday 9th July- Jungle book performance 1.30 (Y6 families only)

Friday 10th July- Blue Peter trip for some Y4 children

Friday 10th July- Choir performance at Rochdale Town Hall

Tuesday 14th July- Jungle book performance 6pm (Y6 families only)

Wednesday 15th July- Year 5 Jodrell Bank trip- please consent and pay on Arbor.

Thursday 16th July- Year 6 leavers assembly 9.15.

Friday 17th July- Finish for the summer holidays! School closes 1.00 (no after school club)

Forest School Dates

Please remember to bring Forest School clothing on these days- welly boots, waterproofs or a sun hat in when it is hot. They will go outside in all weather so be prepared!
