Welcome from Co-op Academy New Islington

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week, a group of pupils in Year 5 and Year 6 have taken part in a "Learn to Ride" course for Bikeability.

It was wonderful to see a great turn out for our first "Friends of New Islington" meeting of the year, in which we have begun plans for a more expansive community event offer.

I have also been delighted by school attendance so far this year, which has been a significant improvement from this time last year and we have just had our best week of attendance ever with each day consistently being around 97%. I would like to personally thank all children, parents and carers for what is clearly a brilliant commitment to school!

As always, thank you for your continued support,

Mr Berry

What a Busy Week!

On Thursday, Year 5 and 6 had a careers talk from a lady from Hits Radio. She spoke to us about her role, what her day to day job involves, skills needed to be a journalist and the people who she has been lucky to interview. She then came into classes to show the technology needed to interview and speak on the radio.

The children asked fantastic questions and got lovely feedback. Well done!
