On 31/01/2025, Year 1 experimented with water to explore how it changes different art materials. They used pen, pencil, charcoal and pastel, observing how water smudged or lightened their marks. The children wrote down what happened to each pattern after applying water.

Year 1 had so much fun exploring how to create different marks using pencil, pastel and charcoal. They experimented with pressure to vary their lines and loved smudging their marks with their fingers to see how the textures changed - the results were amazing!

Year 1MO class had fun this half term using their fingertips, elbow creases and even their mouths to draw! They explored how different parts of the body and varying pressure affect their lines while creating spirals and circles on concrete and in their sketchbooks.
