It was ‘Showcase Week’ this week, with our talented pupils in the Marimba Band and the Drumming Band performing to an audience of parents.

Thank you to everyone who arrives at school on time – we are noticing an improvement!

If you are running late, you will need to sign your child using our electronic system so we can track the children and the reasons for being late.

Monday 27th February – Term starts for all pupils


Monday 27th February – Join our Online Safety Parent Workshop with child safety specialist Katherine Howard on Monday 27th February from 6.00-7.00pm. Learn more about how to keep your child safe in their online world. Tuesday 28th February – Strike Action with the following classes closed:

Reception Miss Ellison, Year 2 Miss O’Mahony, Year 4 Miss Otu and Year 5 Miss Peeks.

All other classes are open for pupils as normal. 


Friday 3rd  March – Revised Date – World Book Day. If they wish, pupils are welcome to come to school dressed up as their favourite book character. Please bring the book along too. Pupils can bring in books to swap – we will give children the chance to exchange books. Please see above for more details.  


Friday 3rd March – Our choir has been invited to perform at a celebratory event at the Science and Industry Museum.

Monday 13th March – British Science Week. Visit from Dr Michael Harris


Friday 17th March: Our Year 5 and 6 pupils will take part in a live-link session with scientist and author Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock. This will be an inspiring session, seeing a successful black woman scientist working at the top of her game.

Forest School

Children should come to school on Forest School days in the appropriate clothing and footwear. As the winter approaches, a warm waterproof coat is essential as the children go out in any weather. 

Please refer to letters previously sent home or ask your child’s teacher for clarification.
