Ways of Being – Co-op Values

The following children have been celebrated in our assemblies, for demonstrating an understanding of our Ways of Being – ‘show that you care’ ‘do what matters most’ ‘be yourself, always’ and ‘succeed together’.

Congratulations to: Olivia and Summer, Valeria, Alexandra and Leon, Hannah, Sanvi, Federico, Harry, Larvae, Emily, Yan Wah and Alma, Georgia and Paisley, James and Matthew, Antonia and Amelia, Abdullah and Stacey, Layla and Ace, Isaac and Eric, and all of Year

Music of the Week

Continuing the wellbeing focus, this week KS1 have listened to and joined in with ‘Don’t worry, be happy’ by Bobby McFerrin whilst KS2 have listened to ‘I wish I knew how it would feel to be free’ by Nina Simone

Childcare Vouchers

Many of our families pay for our Wraparound Club and school dinners with Childcare vouchers. There is a delay of at least 5 working days between the vouchers being issued, and the money arriving in the account. We understand that this can be stressful for you, as you want to book and pay for services but cannot, as the funds are not available. For those parents who find themselves in this position, please email the office and we will make the booking for you, knowing that funds will arrive.

Email newislington@coopacademies.co.uk and put CHILDCARE VOUCHER BOOKINGS in the subject line. Anyone else who pays directly, not with Childcare vouchers, needs to continue to pay at the point of booking.

Disco Time!

Come along for fun and dancing – and a social time for parents. We are having our Halloween Disco on Friday 21st October. Tickets on the door – just £2:00 per child (please bring exact amount). Children can come dressed up if they want, or wear party clothes, or their favourite comfy clothes!

EYFS and KS1 disco 6:15 to 7:00

KS2 disco 7:15 to 8:00

All money raised will go towards our Library Project. Please support this family fun event.

Elfridges

This event was a huge success last year (thanks to one of our parents, Zoe Mills). It is a great way to raise money for our Library Project, as well as being great fun for the children. Parents buy a ticket for £5:00 and then the children can choose a present, and wrap it up, so that mums and dads and grandparents can have a surprise gift! Buy your tickets via the school gateway – there is no limit on the number of tickets you can buy, but the closing date is 1st December. If you want to buy more than one ticket, make separate individual payments.
