Welcome from Co-op Academy New Islington

Dear Parents/Carers,

I would like to thank all parents who have contributed to the recent consultations on proposed changes to the school day. The discussions I have been able to take part in have been invaluable and I am very grateful for all the time that has been spared. We hope to be able to share an update on this next week. The academy will continue to attempt to engage parents in discussions such as these and we want you to know that all views are being considered.

As always, thank you for your continued support,

Mr Berry

Year 6 Residential Trip

Year 6 parents will have received a letter by email today regarding this year's residential trip. If you have not received the letter, please get in touch.

A deposit of £15 is required by Friday 5th December to secure your child's place.

What a Busy Week!

Year 6 went to Belle Vue Army Reserve to have a range of sessions delivered by Crucial Crew.

We had talks from Greater Manchester Police, Travelsafe officers from Bee Network, British Transport Police as well as other organisations.

We learnt how to stay safe in different situations and how we can seek help from others. Miss Ballentine had her phone 'stolen' and the children had to give a description to the police!

The sessions were informative and the children (and adults) learnt plenty. Well done Year 6!

Last weekend, Kenny Karate held their Union Interclub Championships. They had 100 students competing this year from the Oldham, Manchester, Worsley, Tameside and Warrington clubs.

Everyone did brilliantly and the competitor of the day was Logan from Co-op Academy New Islington.

Well done to everyone who took part.

Non-Uniform Day & Winter Fair Donation - Friday 21st November

On Friday November 21st, we will be holding a Non-Uniform Day for all students.

In exchange for coming to school in their own clothes, we ask that each student bring in a donation for our upcoming Winter Fair. Your kind contributions will help us stock two of our  stalls:

  • Bottle Tombola: We welcome donations of any kind of unopened bottle (e.g., wine, spirits, soft drinks, cooking oil, shower gel, bubble bath, sauces, etc.).

  • Rainbow Raffle: We are looking for donations of new items suitable for our themed raffle prizes.

Please see the attached poster for more information on the Winter Fair and specific ideas for the Rainbow Raffle donations.

Thank you in advance for supporting this important fundraising event!
