Welcome from Co-op Academy New Islington

The sun has been shining and the summer term is going brilliantly at New Islington. We have finished our final assessments for the year and can not wait to share all the progress your children have made in end of year reports in a couple of weeks.

It's been really busy with class photos, sports events, planting in Manchester and so much more. Next week, we will be sharing class lists and teachers with parents and carers, so please keep an eye out for who your child's new teacher will be in the 25/26 academic year.

As always, thank you for your continued support,

Mr Berry

Garden Sale

{item_alt_tag}

Year 4 children have done a fantastic job, harvesting their vegetables they grew from seed.

They worked very hard, harvesting their produce in teams and getting it all ready for the garden sale.

They sold beets, mini-carrots, spring onions, kitchen herbs and lettuces. The sale was a massive success and the children raised just under £70.

Mrs Williams Recommends

Anisha, Accidental Detective

By Serena Patel

This is another great book for children starting to get into chapter books and the first in a series which follows the antics of Anisha.

10 year-old Anisha’s ultra dramatic Aunty Bindi is getting married tomorrow things go from bad to worse when Anisha gets a note saying Bindi’s groom Uncle Tony has been kidnapped, and won’t be released until the wedding is cancelled! With the help of her best friend Milo, mischievous Granny Jas and a runaway lobster and a kitten loving giant, it's up to Anisha to find her uncle. But she has a hunch the culprit is somebody close to the family.
