On 29th January, a group of children from Year 3 and Year 4 attended a Shuttle Stars badminton event organised by Badminton England at the National Cycling Centre. The children got the chance to play badminton in a fun and inclusive environment. 

They met 2 of England's top badminton players, Cholan Kayan and Sid Palakkal who are both from Manchester. They were delighted to help the next generation of badminton stars to learn new skills and have fun.

We were very lucky to be contacted by BBC Newsround who wanted our children to participate in a feature that they were recording for one of their programmes. We will share the link when it has been aired.

The event was also featured on Granada News on Friday 30th January.
