Y6 residential trip 2026
Year 6 visited Winmarleigh Hall for their residential trip. We had a jam packed three days full of activities.
When we arrived on our first day, we were greeted by our group leader before completing our first activities. We had lots of screams on the Giant Swing before using our teamwork and map skills during orienteering. We ended the day having a 'silent' disco, busting some dance moves to the macarena and the cha cha slide.
On Tuesday, we had another packed day of activities. We reached new heights during the vertical climb and problem solving activities in the forest. After our lunch, our skills were tested during the raft building and archery tag. We finished the evening with marshmallows around the campfire.
Before heading home, we finished our activities off with rock climbing and survivor skills building shelters in the forest.
Despite the unpredictable weather, the children had an amazing time getting involved in all of the activities and represented New Islington fantastically. The memories from the trip will no doubt be discussed for weeks to come!
