We all wore odd socks on Monday to mark the start of Anti-Bullying Week!
The following children have been celebrated in our assemblies, for demonstrating an understanding of our Ways of Being – ‘show that you care’ ‘do what matters most’ ‘be yourself, always’ and ‘succeed together’.
Congratulations to: Evie, Zayn and Mia, Alic and Fahdah, Sanav and Arush, Jake and Stefania, Tim and Fox, Iker and Erin, Samanvi, James and Poppy.
The focus this week has been on traditional folk music, looking at music from Northern Ireland. We also listened to The Last Post to coincide with Remembrance Day.
Children are welcome to wear odd socks or fancy tights on Monday 14th to mark the start of Anti-bullying week.
On Friday 18th, children can come to school in their home clothes, or spotty clothes to celebrate Children in Need Day. Instead of a financial contribution, we ask that families bring in a donation of food for the Mustard Tree Charity. More details below.

Following the huge success of Elfridges last year, we are again offering the chance for children to choose and wrap a ‘secret’ present for mum, dad, grandparents.
You go onto the School gateway and buy tickets (£5 each)
Your child then exchanges this ticket at our Elfridges shop, where they choose, wrap and label a high quality gift to give as a present at Christmas.
It’s great fun for the children, and exciting for you – your gift will be excellent quality but a total surprise!
Buy your tickets now before they all sell out.
Officers from Greater Manchester Police came in to talk to our pupils about, and raise awareness of, Hate Crime.
The children listened carefully, and took on board the messages given. Many thanks to the officers who gave their time.
Our Girls Football Team played in their first tournament of the season – and they did us proud!
Excellent effort by everyone in the team – and many thanks to the parents who encouraged them along the way.
We invited our parents into school to work alongside their children at a Forest School session.
Forest School children have been enjoying seasonal favourite activities like pumpkin carving, creating spooky leaf and rock creatures. Year 1 made beautiful autumn wreaths and dry plant bouquets.
One of our parents came up with a wonderful idea to help out our families – this good quality clothing ‘swap shop’ was the brain child of Frances.

Our pupils showed great determination and teamwork to get an important job done.
The pupils demonstrated the Co-Op Ways of Being in bucketloads!
